Mabinogion book cover

This is a project of a book cover which I made for Mabinogion, a well-known cycle of ancient Welsh stories.I built my illustration around the Excalibur sword, the most recognizable symbol of Celtic legends. I also included images of wild nature and warriors' remains buried in ground to express the beauty of pure nature and ever-present death permeating tales of Mabinogion and other Celtic cycles.

About my work

Cold nature, Norse mythology and black metal have been inspiring me all my life. Thoroughly dissecting these and other sources and transposing their aspects into the visual language, I strive for giving forms to the raw natural power I resonate with.
